The Joe Roland Community Center Food Pantry is a vital resource for families and individuals in the rural Caldwell and Bastrop County communities. Through our partnership with the Central Texas Food Bank, we provide nutritious food to residents who may otherwise struggle with food insecurity.
We provide groceries to eligible households to help supplement their monthly food needs. Our selection includes fresh produce, proteins, grains, and shelf-stable items.
For elderly, sick, or shut-in community members, we offer a hot meal delivery service, bringing nutritious food directly to those who cannot easily leave their homes.
We provide information about healthy eating and offer demonstrations on how to prepare nutritious meals with the food items available through our pantry.
Food assistance is available to residents who meet The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) income eligibility guidelines or who are facing a crisis situation.
You may qualify if:
– You participate in other assistance programs such as SNAP, TANF, SSI, Medicaid, or the National School Lunch Program
– Your household income falls within the TEFAP guidelines
– You are experiencing a temporary crisis that has created a food need
To receive food assistance, please complete our Pantry Intake Form. You can:
– Pick up a form at the Community Center during operating hours
– Complete the form when you arrive (please bring identification)
Our food pantry distribution schedule varies based on volunteer availability and food bank deliveries. Please check our calendar for the most up-to-date information or contact us directly.
